課程概述

This class aims to provide interdisciplinary knowledge around COVID-19, the most impactful new emerging infectious disease in the past century. Knowledge on clinical, epidemiological, and social elements of the novel coronavirus will be shared. Key concepts, trends, and analytical tools designed to facilitate public health communication and crisis management will be provided. The course will be conducted through lectures, discussions and group work. 

課程目標
By the end of the class, attendees should be able to

Describe and understand the current developments related to COVID-19, including its virology, epidemiology, impact on mental health and vaccine efforts.

Discuss societal challenges raised by COVID-19 and opportunities to address them; as well as developing a communication and crisis management plan in response to infectious diseases.

Active graduate student participation with team-based discussion.
